Built for Shopify

See exactly why they didn't buy.

Redspot records real shopping sessions, maps every click to revenue, and tells you what to fix. Native to Shopify, invisible to your shoppers.

2.4 KB on your storefront · recording runs off the main thread · consent-gated

What you get

Replay, heatmaps and attribution. One tool, built as one.

Replay

Session replay that opens instantly

Watch real shopping sessions like a video: clicks grounded to the exact element, smooth scrubbing, and playback that starts in under a second even on 20-minute sessions. Rage clicks, dead clicks and JS errors are flagged on the timeline.

Heatmaps

Heatmaps that know what elements are

Click, scroll and attention maps rendered on a faithful reconstruction of your page, per device. Dots anchor to the button they belong to, not to stale screenshots, so heatmaps survive theme changes and responsive layouts.

Attribution

Revenue on every element

Every clicked element carries its own revenue, conversion rate and AOV. Stop guessing which banner earns and which carousel just gets clicked. The money is on the map.

AI insights

AI that reads sessions for you

Ask why a session didn't convert and get a plain-language answer built from the visitor's actual behavior: hesitation, friction, the moment they left. No raw data dumps.

Why native matters

Built for Shopify, not adapted to it.

Generic analytics tools bolt a recorder onto your theme and hope. Redspot is built on Shopify's own Web Pixels platform, which changes what it can see and what your shoppers feel.

  • Your store stays fast. Recording runs in Shopify's pixel sandbox, off the main thread. The one script on your pages is 2.4 KB, with a hard size budget enforced in our CI.
  • The checkout funnel, on every plan. Checkout steps come from Shopify's own events, so your funnel is complete even where scripts can't run.
  • Orders and revenue are first-class. Attribution joins real Shopify orders to real clicked elements, not UTM guesswork.
  • Privacy by construction. Masking happens in the visitor's browser, consent runs through Shopify's privacy API, GDPR webhooks are built in.

How it works

Live in minutes, useful the same day.

  1. 1

    Install from Shopify

One click. The tracking activates through Shopify's own Web Pixels. No theme surgery, no code snippets to paste.

  2. 2

    Traffic flows in

Sessions, clicks, scroll depth and the full checkout funnel start recording immediately, on every plan.

  3. 3

    See why they don't buy

Open a replay, a heatmap, or the AI summary, and fix the exact element that's costing you orders.

Questions

The things you should ask any recording tool.

Will it slow my store down?

No, and this is where Redspot is genuinely different. Recording runs inside Shopify's web pixel sandbox, off your store's main thread, and the only script that touches your pages is 2.4 KB compressed. Tools that record on the main thread are the ones shoppers feel.

What about visitor privacy and GDPR?

Everything sensitive is masked in the visitor's browser before it's ever sent: typed values are bulleted, sensitive fields are redacted, clipboard is never recorded. Recording is consent-gated through Shopify's customer privacy API, and the mandatory GDPR webhooks (data request, customer redact, shop redact) are implemented.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes. Redspot reconstructs pages from the DOM itself rather than per-theme templates or screenshots, so it works across themes, including Online Store 2.0 and Horizon, and it keeps working when you redesign.

Do I need Shopify Plus?

No. Sessions, heatmaps, attribution and the full checkout funnel work on every plan. Pixel-level replay inside checkout pages specifically is the one thing Shopify gates to Plus. The funnel data still flows either way.
